Yoga for Every Buddy
The Art Place Benefit

Chicago guest instructor Kathy Krohn had Leelanau kids flying like birds, slithering like snakes and standing tall and strong as redwood trees at a "Yoga for Every Buddy" benefit for The Art Place (formely Suttons Bay for Kids). The Art Place is a nonprofit organization headed by photographer Ken Scott and fiber artist Chris Allen-Wickler, for the purpose of teaching the art of animation to children. The kids have produced an animated History of Suttons Bay (available on DVD) for the village sesquicentennial celebration in 2004, and a public service announcement in support of smoking cessation, which was viewed by over 6000 people at the Traverse City Film Festival at it's 2005 inaugural. "Yoga for Every Buddy" and Kathy Krohn raised over $200 to purchase computer supplies for the kid's film project, and a very fun time was had by all. Thank you, kids! Thank you Kathy!
